Walt Disney World Tickets - Non Expire Option

As reported throughout the internet recently, Disney has removed the "Non Expire" option from their website and ticket booths.

Why is this a big deal you ask? Purchasing a 10 day Non Expiring ticket has saved many families a lot of money over the years because it locks in today's park ticket price for years to come. Say you only want to spend 2 days in the park, but know you'll be back a few times over the next few years... it's a perfect solution!

Well, I have good news for those of you who were sad to hear that this option was taken away...

You can still add the "Non Expire" option to your ticket when you purchase it through a Disney travel agent.

I confirmed that the option was still available today.

Boy pulled from Disney's Pop Century Resort pool on Sunday dies

What a tragic end to what should have been a magical vacation for this Missouri family.

Anthony Johnson, 13, died Tuesday morning after being pulled from the pool at the Pop Century Resort on Sunday night.

Family members and bystanders performed CPR on Johnson, and he did not drown on the scene. He was taken to Florida Hospital Celebration Health where he passed away this morning.

Disney spokeswoman Marilyn Waters stated that lifeguards are on duty from 10am to 8pm and that there are signs posted advising guests that swimming outside of those hours are at their own risk.

Disney also gave the following statement:
"We are saddened by Anthony Johnson’s passing and our hearts go out to his family, friends and loved ones. We have reached out to his family to offer care and assistance during this difficult time."

My personal thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones.

Marvel Land Coming to Hong Kong Disneyland

While introducing his annual financial budget at the city’s legislature on Wednesday, John Tsang Chun-wah said Disneyland Hong Kong’s Marvel section will be “the first of its kind in the world” when it is launched within “the coming few years.”

Hong Kong Disneyland is 52% owned by the Hong Kong government. According to Tsang the park will pay for the project with it's operating surpluses.

According to some members of the Hong Kong press, the Marvel-themed area will be completed by 2017.

This is great news for the world's smallest Disney theme park. They've had quite a few new projects recently including the new Toy Story Land and Grizzly Gulch. This Marvel expansion will hopefully help increase the profits for the park and help draw in an older more affluent crowd.

What do you think about the news? Are you excited? Does this make you want to plan a trip to Hong Kong? What Marvel characters would you like to meet in the Disney parks?
